Proceed to Rescue
Dilemma Between Law and Human Rights

On the world’s deadliest migration route across the Mediterranean, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are working to save people whose lives are in danger.

In recent years, rescuing human lives has become increasingly difficult. Legal restrictions introduced by maritime authorities to reduce migration flows increase the risks and dangers for those attempting to flee across the sea. In fact, since 2020, the number of shipwrecks and deaths has risen sharply. Rescue operations carried out by NGO ships are becoming more and more challenging, as they must navigatethrough a sea of laws and bureaucratic obstacles to avoid serious legal and economic consequences. These could undermine their fundamental principles and goals of saving human lives.

The short animated film, created in collaboration with SOS Méditerranée Switzerland, sheds light on a rarelydiscussed topic. It encourages viewers to reflect on the fact that NGOs dedicated to saving human lives areconstantly at risk of being penalised for their work.
A short animation, created in collaboration with SOS Méditerranée Switzerland, introduces the public to an issue that is unknown to many. It encourages viewers to reflect on the fact that NGOs dedicated to saving lives are always at risk of being punished for their work.

Regia di Gabii

Created in collaboration with archaeologists Dr. Paolo Masci and Prof. Marco Fabbri from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, this project presents a 3D reconstruction and rendering of the Regia di Gabii in Rome. Developed in Cinema 4D, the model brings the ancient architecture to life, offering a visually detailed and historically informed representation grounded in comprehensive archaeological research.

Equifine Horse Skelet

Developed in 2023 in collaboration with the Veterinary Hospital in Zurich (VETCOM) and Equifine GmbH, this project provides a detailed 3D model of an equine skeleton for scale model printing, created in Cinema 4D. The model is designed to support veterinary education and skeletal analysis. It allows students and professionals to study equine anatomy in a tangible format. Developed with input from veterinary experts to refine the anatomical accuracy, the project also involved scientific illustrators Katja Knöllinger and Jeanne Peter to ensure both visual detail and accuracy of skeletal representation.

Skate for Change

In 2023, in collaboration with the swiss-italian collective Momò Skateboarding, this project features a series of 3D animated loops of a figure skating through a cityscape, symbolising movement towards a clear goal: the creation of a local skatepark. Designed to support a political campaign for the construction of a skatepark in Mendrisio (CH), these animations visually capture the drive and determination of the skateboarding community and highlight the need for dedicated recreational spaces.

Treating skincancer

Working with the Zurich-based start-up Lumaros, this 2023 project features an eye-catching animation developed in collaboration with Jöel Borter to attract potential investors. The animation vividly illustrates the mechanism of Lumaros' groundbreaking skin cancer treatment, showing how the drug effectively targets and fights cancer cells.

Digital illustrations

This selection features digital illustrations created using Photoshop and Fresco for various projects, including a scientific etnographic research in the field of migration studies, the WASSHOI magazine on Japanese culture , and multiple other projects focused on environmental activism, conservation of biodiversity
